Gas Gas clutch plates

I was told by one person that on the Gas Gas EC and XC models, that Honda CR250 clutch plates are a crossover part and will work fine. But when I look on the gas gas rider's club website, clutch plates are not listed there on the parts crossover list. Does anyone know if this is the case or not? Thanks for any input.

Yes, Honda 250, GasGas 250 and TM 250 all use the same friction plates. Not sure about the steel plates, though.

Hi,
I maintain the gasgas rider's club website. Honda clutch plates differ in thickness from the oem gasgas plates and will not work. You can call smackover for details (and a new clutch plate) That's why they are not listed on the parts crossover list on gasgasrider.org. Someone posted that plates from a honda street bike are very close - I think it was a CX500? I also heard from a gasgas dealer that he thought that husky plates were identical (and clutch basket), but haven't confirmed this.
