Hi everyone, 1st bike is this Yam YZ 250 (2001) model. Was wondering how to properly maintain this eg. when do I change the plug, how often and how do I change/clean the air filter. How often do I change the oil etc.
If someone can enlighten me it would be appreciated.
Cheers in advance

change the gear box oil every 3rd ride
lube all pivots such as foot pegs, cables and chain-every ride
grease the linkage ,steering and wheel bearings every 6 months
check topend now and replace as necassary
friends that ride should be able to give you a hand at this also get an yamaha owners manual they may cost a bit but they are worth there weight in gold

manual

Get an owners manual...they are awesome, they will show you an exploded view of every component and system of the bike and they also list your recommended maintanance for your specific bike...like ben. said they cost a few bucks but they are well, well worth it! Have fun! :thumb:
