squeaky said:That's not true. If you dress properly you'll be fine. It's about the same here, so if I want to walk outside I wear: longjohn pants and shirt, warm socks, sweatpants, t-shirt, sweatshirt, jacket, gloves, earmuffs and I'm fine. You actually end up working up a good sweat with all those clothes on too, just make sure to keep your ears covered (I went out without earmuffs on once and by the time I got back the insides of my ears hurt so bad from the cold) and keep your fingers covered too, those are the most important in my opinion.

Vampyrz said:Over the Christmas break my son decided to go out for the soccer team, so I started running with him. At first I could only run about 20 yards before I was sucking wind hard. I stayed with a "couch to 5k" program and have since run a 5k race, and I'm running my second one next weekend. I've dropped from 210 to 185 and hoping to drop a little more. I feel great except for the knee and hip problems I'm having from running so damn much. Go figure.
squeaky said:WOW! How do you get there that quickly, that's awesome!!!
I'd like to try running, but I'd probably drop dead and/or kill my dog at the same time!
