I'm racing in the WORCS Oceano Dunes Beach Race this October and they don’t allow paddle tires. All the good sand knobbies only come in 19” sizes, but I'm riding a KDX 200 with an 18" rear wheel. Anyone have ideas for a GOOD sand knobby in an 18” size or some way to run a 19” rear wheel on the ol' KDX?

Thanks,

I've been quite happy with my Kenda Millville in the sand.

Or you could try one of these

Pirelli MT44, available in a 120/100/18. A little big, but I've ran 120 Kenda's before with no problems. I don't know how Pirelli sizing matches up.

Sweet, I hadn't found that one. Big is good, my KDX will be working hard enough in the sand without a paddle. Thanks for the tip...
