grinding........

can anyone help out there,i have a xr650 (2000) model, its perfect for the first 10mins of riding as soon as it worms up every time i let the clutch out i get a grinding noise comming from my clutch,if anyone can HELP i would be greatfull.

Tough call, pull the side cover off and inspect the clutch hub for grooves and the plates for excessive wear.

already done that its all like brandnew it seems that there is no oil on clutch plates they are all dry.....

Weird, I'm sure you have oil in the engine.

Are you using the recommended oil type for your application?

Dont know iv only just got the bike from mw-racing in uk,i only past my test 2weeks ago....

all been checked, its just when i release the clutch leaver i get a grinding noise and sometimes it stalls...

according to me its a sticky clutch, i had the same problem with my husqvarna te 410 just put in some extra oil

trouble is that my oil is ok??????????????

drain it and put new stuff in. see what happens. you may thinbk its ok, it may not be. give it a go.

Sorted........ the clutch was missing its spring seat and judder spring....
