My buddy picked up a 2001 husky cr50s for his son.. I have gotten it to start and run a couple of times but it is very hard to start.. I got it to start by messing with the coil does anyone know how to set the timing on this bike? gap between coil and flywheel etc.
Any help on this would be appreciated..

Will the bike start at all right now? If not, more than likely it's the magneto. My boy had one, it was a great bike. But it went thru 3 of them. The first 2 within 1 month on being purchased from the dealer. And one shortly after. I never hit the cover with water directly, and he never rode when it was wet. Mabey it was just a bad batch of them? It might be worth a look. That's all I can tell ya, mabey it'll help.

It's probably the coil, we went through 3 or 4 of them on my sons 01' Husky Jr. Use a business card to set the gap, just place it between the coil & flywheel.
