My front brake has been a major PIB for a while. At 1st I thought I had air in the line but bleeding didn't help. I replaced the pads and it seemed to get worse, that didn't make sence. No matter what I did, I couldn't seem to get enough lever, I was having to lift my hand completely off the grip so the lever would clear my knuckles to use the front brake. I dissasembled to master cylinder for inspection and it looked good. Last night I took the caliper off and removed the pads and BEHOLD! The pin that the pads ride on had 2 grooves slotted in them preventing the pads from floating. I felt kind of dumb for not catching that! After I replaced the pin I now have good brakes again. Just wanted to pass it along. I've been farting with this for a while and don't know how I could have missed it.
