Yes. It comes with the right size drill, a tap and the helicoils. Pretty easy to install.

Helicoil as in the specific brand or a generic term? There are several thread repair kits out there and some work better than others. I can't remember the one I used to repair some side case threads but it was a royal PITA to get the tang to break free and thus complete the job. It had some stupid little blue plastic tool to hold the coiled up insert that was then fed in to the tapped hole with a black threaded steel rod that ran thru the blue plastic "tool". I do recall using "Threadserts" and feeling it was a much easier option that still came with all the necessary pieces.
I think the bottom line is that they all pretty much work well if you follow the directions.
