Hey guys. Its been a very long time since I have been here. I just wanted to pop my head in and say hello. Glad to see that this place is still here.

Yeah... life has a habbit of throttle blocking ya as you get older!

I have ridden about 4 times this year but stay busy with work and the kid most of the time now.

Good times to look back on but getting older sucks!

Welcome home! Seems many of us can't find our bikes these days.
We've got all winter to ponder why and plan action to remedy the situation !

exercise and adventure are both essential elements for a full life.
It kills me to see people give them up in order to pop out more kids in a world overpopulated.

Interesting viewpoint. I think though while the "kids" thing is mentioned frequently, there are other factors in the background that play a role for some. Life experience has a way of changing priorities. But then the less we ride, and the older we get, it becomes harder to recover with the aches and pains. Sometimes a change in HOW we enjoy the sport is just the ticket. I find just being on a bike on a regular basis...is more important than specifically what the bike is and the nature of the ride. For some racer types, the habit of strong competitive spirit makes it difficult to change habits and just go have some fun, not worrying about how fast you are going compared to others.

I think you hit it on the head MM. These days zooming round on a relatively slow CRF150 on a tiny track, or bouncing around on a trials bike in my back yard, or pointing my KTM Duke at a slow but twisty patch of road still brings a huge smile to my face. Probably as much as racing ever did. Maybe it helps that I was never very fast racing on asphalt or dirt, but riding anything on a sunny day still taps into the same thing inside that I first experienced when I was a little kid. It's hard to imagine not riding at all.

Now if I could just shake that pesky ultra-high horsepower drag race jones in my head I'd be golden. :)
