Hi guys just wondering if you's can help, i have a problem with my clutch not disengaging on my 1989 cr250, here's what i've done, 1 treid to adjust the cable, 2 replaced the friction plates 3clean oil put in but it still won't disengage ???????? i'm stumped any ideas ? :think:

Did you actuate it while you had it apart to see if mechanically its functioning?

Make sure you have the right weight of oil in there, i know hondas are really picky. We put 80W instead of 75W in my buddys honda and the clutch would'nt disengage.

just a thought

did you look at the basket while it was apart ? im betting your basket it notched badly and wont allow the plates to seperate when you pull the clutch in. you need to file down those notches so the plates can move.

thank guys for all the advice, i have replaced the clutch basket and now it runs great, no problems with the clutch, thanks.
