help me with my lighting!!!!!

ive just purchased a 96 kdx 200 and had to fit a hi low beam switch and stop/tail lamp to it as it didnt have wiring for this!
ever since it keeps blowing rear bulbs and i have tried everything!

Do you have a regulator on it?
