I have started to do some nightime sx racing due to the heat issues associated with racing during the day.
The problem I am having is some difficulty in seeing. The lighting at these tracks is adequate, but not anything to brag about.there are always some dark spots.
If anyone does any night time racing, is there anything that I can do to see better? Different type lens? Anything?
I can see well enough to ride, but I do not feel comfortable "racing". Any suggestions (other than military night vision goggles........lol) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Even if it doesn't seem like there is dew setting in, I still get to the line and find my goggles fogged up (I keep them on top of my helmet). I wrap them with two paper towls and get them ready at the line. I don't put on my goggles until the "2" card comes out, and then I breathe downward so as not to steam up my goggles.

Once the gate drops, I never notice a problem with fogging or vision after that. (But I usually ride with my eyes closed, anyway)

Keep a set of goggles with clear lenses for night riding only and don't use them for anyting else. It's the scratches on the lenses that difuse the light and blur your vision. I also use a $1.50 anti-fog cloth to prevent moiture and fogging, it works good.
