Over the last couple years I've been restoring my '78 Yamaha DT-175. The "silver" aluminum fork tubes are next.
The silver coating (it appears to be paint, no powdercoating back then) on the forward side of the tube has been abraded off in spots. Why just the forward side - the side facing the trail ahead - is a mini-mystery.
LMK if you know where to get a match, or a close match. Even a "rattle can" restoration would be a huge improvement.
