I am trying to remove the rear shock from my KDX250D1. How do I get it out? I have stripped the air box down, but can't seem to get it out of the frame. Is this the correct thing to do?

Please, somebody HELP!!!! :think:

Remove the side panels. You have an Upper & lower bolt. Remove those. You bay have to put a 2 x 4 between the upper part of the shock & frame and lift up to help give clearance for the top to come out. Should not be a big project.

You have removed the lower bolt, right? Once the upper and lower bolts are free, the shock will drop about 4 inches. From there you can twist the shock and remove it from the side, or maybe even slip it through the swingarm.
