OK, so I checked the floats, made sure they were the right way, checked seals, and then i went to start it up again, and now I have no spark. I think this may have been the issue in the first place, weak spark.
So we checked the timing according to the manual, using a lamp and a 6v battery, and one of the stator wires connects to the lamp, other lamp lead goes to battery, and neg of battery goes to ground. The manual states that the lamp should darken when the points open, but the delimma we noticed was that it darkened in quite a few places.
Im thinking maybe a weak stator, but the stator tests out when we ohmmeter it.
Its one problem after a next :yell:
