Thought I'd stop in, I'm back on the orange bike :cool:
Bought a brand new 04EXC250 on Saturday. Loctited all the necessary bolts, mounted Handguards, broke it in on Sunday morning and rode an enduro. Boy am I glad to be back on orange. Loved it.
Haven't really had time to dial it in, but will do so, now that it has a ride on it.
It worked really well in stock form already.

I need to "guard" it properly. Jetting seems to be ok right now, its getting colder, so the 160 main seemed to be fine.

Any advice to a reborn KTM dude?

new ktms come out of the factory running lean you might want to change the slow jet and go bigger talk to a tech where you purchased the bike or a ktm dealer.

I got mine this year and i like it lean, it runs harder. plugs brite white :laugh: :aj:

I am working on the jetting, you're right, they do come supprisingly lean. Not too far off though, from what I have seen so far. Will play with it more this weekend. I ran out of new plugs for proper reading and testing :|
I think the JD kit is in my near future
