hello all... my name's Ivy... i just bought a honda xr200 today... this is my 2nd motorcycle. i'm reading how-to's on breaking-in...

has anyone tried moto tune's method (running-it-hard method against easy-break-in)? i've read their site, it makes sense to me... but before i try it, i would like to hear experienced bikers comments... negative/positive comments are appreciated.. thanks you thanks people! muah!

Welcome to DRN.

If your engine has been carefully assembled by a professional mechanic, sure you can break it in hard. But I'll bet it has not been and so lots of burrs and sharp rough edges. My vote is run it up to but not over 3/4 throttle for a tank or two.Change the oil ( the filter too it the XR has one)
