I made a nice spanner to remove the compression valving on a YZ250F shock. The owners of KYB shocks with hi and lo speed compression know that there's a strange fitting on the valve.

Anyway, I made a nice spanner by getting a cheap 12-point 11/16 socket, marking the slots on the nut and going to down on my bench grinder. I ended up with 4 spines about 1/8" high that fit right in the slots. A little muscle on a 3/8" socket wrench busted that bugger loose real nice!
