Hey all-
I was thinking about getting a street bike and was looking at the Honda Rebel 250 but for the same price I can get an XR 650. The problem is the amount of street use it will get. I'd be using it to commute to work which is 26 miles each way, about 14 miles of straight 55 mph roads, 10 miles of twisty 35 mph roads and 2 miles of straight 30 mph roads.
That's 52 miles a day x 5 days. Is all that concrete and fairly consistent high speed bad for a dual sport? Would I be better off with the Rebel? Thanks.
