My friends and I have a little friendly bet as to how much horsepower a brand new KDX 200 has. Anyone have any idea?

"up to 36 hp with FMF, jetting and porting "

New dyno spec's for my new engine coming soon, and it will be more than 36 horse at the rear wheel, see my picts for dyno run of my old (slow) engine.

I'll bet removing the airbox lid, add any aftermarket pipe and rejet will get you close to 30.

Higher octane will decrease the power just a bit. Tuners mix a bit of "regular" into race gas to increase the hit on certain tracks. See Eric Gorr's website - there's a great article on fuels.

Naw, the only reason to increase octane is if your bike needs it due to engine mods such as increased compression, advanced timing etc...
