Here is my method. It has earned me every holeshot in every race I have entered since I have started using it.
)Sit as far foward as possible on tank
)put feet IN FRONT OF PEGS AND DO NOT PUT ON PEGS FOR START!
)Look right at the gate
)start in 1st for 80's, 2nd for all others.
)overgrip the throttle and rev bike up to 1/4-1/2 throttle.
)grab front brake hard.
)let clutch out to the point where it is grabby.
)watch carefully for gate mechanism to move.
)on first sight of movement, feed the clutch and brake out while simutaneously opening the throttle
)once clear of gate, give MORE GAS and keep feeding out the clutch to minimize wheelspin.
)DO NOT PUT FEET ON PEGS AND KEEP THEM INFRONT OF THE PEGS!!!! I can't stress this enough, this is the secret.
)When ready to shift, use the HEEL of your boot and shift without using the clutch or letting off the throttle. This step is also very important. You feet should stay infront of the pegs.
)Once ready to brake for first turn, do as normal.
This is a fairly complicated technique, but works wonders if you are good at it and you practice it ALOT. It must be folowed to a "T" to work right though. Hope this is what you are looking for.
