step 1, make sure the image resolution is set to no more than 75dpi
step 2, make sure the image size is cropped to no bigger than 500X500 pixels
Digi cams usually save image in a "printable" format of around 150dpi, which;
a) is useless for displaying on a screen (monitors go up to 75 dpi)
b) is too big for the web.
Cant tell you how to use your software, but even the weakest programs allow step1 and 2 above to be done.
