how do i figure the rite springs for my custume tank

i have an 82 XL500R that ive custumized to death my latest addtion was the suspenchion off an old 82 CR486 a frend of mine did the mashening to the rear shok and we just used my old rear shok spring and droped some old XR400 fork springs in the forks but the back spring is way too stiff and the forks are still a littel to saggy the bike waighes 220 lbs dry and im 150 lbs and the bike has 10" of travel so how do i get the rite springs?

get the back spring replaced for a lighter rate and the forks may well then feel ok.
