What do you use to remove the leftover adhesive when you remove old graphics? I tried just about everything from acetone to 3M adhesive solvent and it still took me all weekend to get that stuff off!
Apply heat (heat gun/hair dryer) to the graphics before you peel them and the glue comes with them usually. It make work if you have the graphics off and the glue remained also. Just don't burn your finger. Wear a leather glove and roll the glue up when it's hot. Good luck, hope this helps.
I've always used paint thinner then wash with a soap. I have another question related to this that maybe someone could help me with. I have some old stickers on my frame and there half on half off how or what can i do to get these stickers off without taking any paint off?.
Go to your local auto paint supply store and tell them you want a pinstripe eraser. Those puppies will take any sticker off anything and won't harm the paint. It's like a giant #2 pencil eraser, except it's on a mandrel and goes in a drill or die grinder.
A product called Goof Off works very good too. It's also great for lots of other stuff too like grease stains on the carpet and removing masking tape residue from the walls after taking posters down.
When i removed the label off my truck I used a heat gun and then skin so soft for the residue.. it worked great.. an my cutiles wernt half bad either...lol
