I did a search and came up with about 8 pages but never found my answer.

I am going to run my first harescramble on the KDX200 this weekend. I usually race on a 250x and don't have to fuel up during the race but I am unsure of how long the KDX can go on a tank.

I will be mostly single track woods with some open areas.

Just looking for a general idea.

thanks for the help.

It is all stock by the way.

100k would be plenty. That's about 60 miles. The harescrambles I race run an average of about 45 miles.

I've never had to stop for fuel in a two hour hare scramble. Conditions sound similar to what you describe. Mostly single track trail, some open area and over length about 45 - 55 miles. BTW, i'm a midpack B class rider, so that should give you some idea of fuel consumption with regard to speed. If you're riding in deep sand in FL, you will use more fuel than traditional loamy dirt or hard pack single track.

My 1998 KDX 220 gives me about 150-180km per tank (Gnarly, Boyesen, 13/50 sprockets) Combo tight trails and road (100km 6 litres)

My 1993 KDX 200 did on last trail 70km down to reserve (Stock)

both bikes however are japan maket specs and have 29mm carbs standard

I never made a pit stop while racing my 96 KDX200 (stock save jetting and silencer) in AMA D-7 harescrables (2-3 hours). Never need to switch to reserve either:)
