how much fork oil?

doing the spring swap thing and I am going to drain the tubes, the manual states around 550 ml per tube, does this sound right for anyone having done this, just want to know if I actually will need 2 litres of fork oil or if I can get away with one? :)

I used 500 ml in each fork, I dont see any difference
