I just got a 94 cr250 and just checking things out...i was wondering how much the front forks should sag with the bikes weight on it??....is it hard to rebuild forks on dirtbikes??...i'm changed fork seals on a 87 fz700 sportbike so if i could do that then i should be able to rebuild the forks on my dirtbike right?
thanks

Start with getting the race/rider sag on the rear shock 100 mm as a starting point. Stand next to the bike on the left side with your right foot on the the left peg and roll the bike forward and grab the front brake. There should be equal travel on both the front and rear. You will need someone to watch for the balance in travel and then you may watch them compress the suspension this way. Ask your favorite suspension tuner for their spring recommendations for your weight.
