Yup, you can race it bone stock if you are a good enuf rider and win most b and c class events, hs or enduro.
The best thing to do is get out there and start running. You won't know what you need or like until you get some experience. Its one thing to read web posts, and another to get stuck on the side of a hill for 20 minutes and realise you need a lower 1st gear.
This is just my opinion. No matter what bike you ride, if you cannot use the power that the bike has in it's stock form, then you are wasting money buying after market parts that give your bike more power. As your skills improve, you will eventually need the modifications. Use the Hop Up guide in the Tech Tip section to help you decide what mods you may need.
