ok, here the deal on I-70.....It is going to re-open. but, here is what went down to get it opened. the owners of the park had to give the farmer back his lease money on the farm field. $8,000 to be exact. that is a big chunk of change.....i dont think it was any of the motocrossers that were riding in the fields. but, we need to help the guy out and police ourselves and follow his rules. i think by giving the $8,000 back it shows his commitment to us. so lets support him. he is going to open the park new years weekend. it will be open saturday dec 29 through jan 1. this is the last weekend to pay $5 to ride!!!!!! after this it will go to $10 per person with 12 and under $5. we did this to help out the people with large families that ride. so, we are a go for racing next year. i can get back to work on the track. we hope to start racing sometime around april.....i have to get with r.j. and everyone to find out there schedules.....if anyone has any schedules get them with me. dont forget new years weekend $5!!!!!!! hope to see everyone there.

Thanks!

Thanks for the update, I'm glad to hear we'll be able to ride there again. It's the closest riding area for me open to the public and I sure enjoyed riding there. I only hope these problems can be controlled in the future so this riding area remains open.

What happened? I live in Shawnee,Ks. and like to trail ride.
I heard about I-70 but have not been able to check it out yet. I was planning on checking it out with some friends one of these weekends, are there still going to be trails or is it only going to be motocross? are the property boundaries marked? I would hate to lose a new riding area because someone can't follow the rules.
