Hi Does anyone know where I can find a riding school or a competent riding instructor to show me how to ride properly. I feel like I am picking up bad habits trying to learn on my own.

Hate to have to go undo it all later.

Thank You,

Kingriz

Riz, follow this link

http://www.dmsports-wsmx.com/

Take a look at this site, they have instructors all over. My daughter & I both went to her school held at Village Creek last year. There was about 5 girls and 2 guys (including me) in the class.

School format
All riders are welcome !!

Class Length: 6 hours
Gate fees: payable at track
Post entry welcome, but please notify us if you are coming.
Please pack a sack lunch and bring plenty of drinking water

Format as follows:

Learning proper body positions for cornering, braking, standing, whoops, Practice drills for stopping, cornering, and flow. On track application of skills learned. Corners, Jumps, Whoops, Braking, Starts, looking ahead, reading terrain, mental approach.

Class is taught in a rider friendly environment at the riders pace. We will not proceed to the next obstacle until all riders are comfortable enough to progress to the next level.

Schools available from "learn to ride" to advanced * Qualified female instructors * Women Pro National Champs & top contenders * Private, group, or traveling classes available * Local / Regional classes available on a weekly basis

This bike was set up for Missouri. Could the jetting for there be that different than for here. could worn rings cause this problem?

Not sure what you're asking here, you never said anything about a problem in this thread.

Temperature and elevation affect your jetting. Essentially what jetting does is adjust the air to fuel mixture so as the air density changes so does the need for jetting. I usually have to experiment with mine to get it to a point that works for me, I can tell a difference when the weather changes on how the bike performs but as long as I'm not fouling plugs, locking up the motor and when I twist the throttle the motor revs quickly, I'm satisfied.

On a 2 stroke the top end has a tenancy to wear our quickly. The 1st thing I would recommend is to do a compression test and see if your rings need replaced.

I heard at one point that No. 1 TCCRA pro Clay Hoenshell was doing riding lessons. I'm not sure of any details, but this guy can fly!

Uhh, I went to High Lord Gomer riding school. He says after you go down roll around allot on the ground & someone will poke you with a stick. Apparently, this is a good thing unless you ride with Thump, Twinspar, MX221, Crazy Steve or Stevieberry, which, BTW, you do. :scream: I went to another riding school where AJ was an instructor & between beers he says when all else fails & you don't know what to do just pin it & pray.

Then you could just go to the riding school I go to. It cheap, it's easy & only has one lesson. Pass everybody you can till you can't pass anybody anymore.

See ya at the track.

Sorry, but I feel obligated. It's just too easy. Sorta like a hanging slider that's begging to be knocked outta the park.

Here goes: having some truancy issues, eh?
