Ok after doing some reading here I am convinced I need stiffer fork springs for better handling. I have a stock 1992 KDX 200. Fredette Racing recommends a .33 srping. I weigh 158 at 6 foot. but they only sell .38 would that be to stiff for me? where else can I get some? And also is there some stuff I should know before I open up the forks.. I've never done this before. IE special tools? or some back yard mech. tools? Thanks for the help guys.

I was just on frp's site looking at fork spring's myself. There site said .38 springs for your weight not .33.

My bad, your right Dragonfly. I didn't realize it was different for the 89-92 bikes. Hope I didn't mess you up.
