I need instruction for head, cylinder and power valve removal

Hi,
I have a dead KDX200 1991 model.
It's been pretty neglected and my daughters boyfriend is asking for help on this his first ever bike.

i have checked out the carb, the reed valve and they are ok so it off with it's head... so to speak :nod:

Has anyone got instructions on the head, cylinder and power valve removal , inspection and reinstallation?

I suspect its something to do with the powervalve but my expirience with this is zero.

Can anyone offer some usefull advice ... apart from a match and a gallon of petrol? :bang:

Unfortunatley i do not have a service manual for this bike.

Read all of the stuff on 2strokes on Eric Gorr's website (see link to left). It is quite informative and gives great rebuilding tips.
