I have a 2002 CR125 and it has basically no low-end. I want to race it, but I think that it wont do very well since it is only top-end power. What can I do for more low-end? Any specific pipes or parts? PLEASE HELP ME!!

Here's what you do. It's THE fix for 125's.

1) Remove kill switch
2) Hold kill switch approx. 4.5 feet off the ground.
3) Drive a 250 under it.
4) Replace 250 kill switch with 125 kill switch and go.

Simple.

Do a search for posts under Steve125, he has a couple of great threads on how he set-up an '02 CR125 along with his results.

How would this help with low-end?

id say sprockets would help mostly, id sacrifice 10 mph for some more bottem end power, where do you hit 80 mph anyways on a track? raising compression can be good and bad, it will give you more bottem end but makes the piston work harder by increasing the cylinder pressure. go with a good pipe, gearing and jetting and some exhaust porting.

what if i get it ported to a bigger bore?

144s are great. It is definitely worth it. You're not really going to have any significant low end, though. Try Eric Gorr for the work.

If you want low end, get a 4 stroke. Otherwise, learn to ride the 125 properly. People have been racing them for decades with no low end. LOL.

I dropped one tooth smaller on my YZ125 front sprocket and it made a big difference as far as my low end..My R's come up a lot quicker and it takes off a heck of a lot quicker with my 230lb butt on it..It will help yours too..I may even change my rear sprocket and add 2-3 teeth..Try it and see..I bought 2 front sprockets (A stock 13t and a 12t) from www.rockymountainmc.com for like $8 each..

You guy's are brutal... should you have the top-end power and the skill you will win the moto. Keep the R's up going into and exiting you don't need the bottom just have clutch kits on hand. You need to sit down with an experienced 125 stroker and really get a grip on the power/speed thing before you spend all the bucks. There's many reasons for bogging low end, sometimes jetting can be the fix, others require a new top and obviously there's much in between. The sproket thing works 13-50 or 52 (ax racing) and you better be good with your feet and your decisions. Outdoor mx possibly a 14-49-50. Your bike will talk to you if you listen and it will tell you what you need. I assume your a "C" rider or beginner or you wouldn't need to ask the question. Stay stock, the bike is fine, learn how to feather, and have fun. When you get mid "B" class go 0.060" over (don't tell anyone), the reeds will impress you and the pipe selection will change with the type of race and track. If it seems to bog more now than when new it's top end, pv carbon or both.

ps... remember stay on the top means stay in the RRRRRRR's
