Just wondering how much interest there would be in doing some riding/racing on the ice this winter. I'm talking about a TT style (serpentine) course with left and right turns.
There is a series out this way that seems popular.
I think a mud & snow series might be fun as well if the course is realistic.
Right now we are having an ice storm. Enough firewood being generated from downed trees on our place to fuel us for years. What a mess....but the riding has been much better than expected. That partial froozen ground provides amazing traction. even with a couple of inches of snow.
Walt - What I'm talking about is laying out a track on a frozen body of water. Electric City Riders, of Schenectady, holds flat-track (roundy-round) ice races on Warner's Lake near Altamont when the ice is thick enough.
