I just got a used ICO Autocal and a Procomp computer - that came with a bike I bought for my son - that I want to set up on my KTM. Its not that I generally have to worry about buring checks :ugg: , (such a slow old fart I am) but I got the Autocal, I might as well look like I might be able to burn a check right?

I already have a Trailtech sensor and magnet set up on the bike. Could I simply hook the Autocal up to the leads from the Trailtech sensor? Has anyone tried this before? I dont see why it wont work other than some goofy electrical high tech stuff like, the Trailtech sensor generates xxx microvolts and the ICO needs yyy sorta stuff. (I have no clue what I am talking about there!) :blah:

It will work. The sensor is merely an open switch. When a magnetic field is passed by the switch it closes the circuit. The sensor generates zero voltage.

Great. I was hoping that was the case. I just didnt know if (for example) the magent passed a coil to trigger a small bit of voltage rather than a simple switch.

Next issue will be mounting. The units came in a nice billet aluminum housing with tabs to mount on top of the bar clamps. The KTM clamps on my bike have the bolt head down in a recess and an odd angled surface the housing would have to rest against. Any suggestions there?
