About the only safe method of determining a seal leak is a leak down test. Or, just change the seal. Personally, a lot of blueish smoke, change the float valve.
£28 for the float valve
I'm defenately holding on to splitting with the money for that..
What problems do you get with a worn one, is it rich because its not sealing correctly fire to it being worn?
