I just got my bike back from a getting a new hot rod crank.The last one the bearing went(still dont know why when it was even running rich :coocoo: )

So what i want to do now is jet it perfectly.
The mechanic said it was running rich and to go down a size or 2 on the main jet (but what if the air screw is out more than 3 turns should i not be repalceing the pilot??????.

But the bike starts up fine but if you give it a quick crack of the throttle it boggs and dies.What is this too big main or pilot?

The bike it set at =
Needle at middle clip
Main =172
pilot=50
Air screw is about 3-4turns out.

What jets should i be buying.

And what level should my float be set at ,there set at 15mm now is that ok??
The bikes a 1997 Honda CR125R.

if any one has any input please say.

Thanks

If it makes any difference i live about 5 mins from the coast in Ireland(so no very hot weather) and i think i would be about sea level or a bit obove.
Im using fully sentetic oil (silkogene)
The bike is stock except a FMF front pipe.
New plug( br9eg )
Any question just ask thanks.
