Welcome to the site

Be sure and go to your User CP and update information relating to your location, type of riding, etc. After that grab a spot on the couch and tell us a bit about yourself.

Before you jump off and buy a bike you might want to check out the Bikes for the Ladies thread in the Women's Forum. Ask any questions that you might have and I am sure you will get all the answers that you will want. Some of the finest women in dirtbikes hang out in there daily. Check the Help Us Help You ...Hints to help get advice on bikes thread for great information that will help everyone zero in on recommendations.

Again, welcome to the site and shout if you have any questions!

I'm 5'4, 140lbs and I ride/race an RM 125. Given your size, and experience (or lack thereof) the KX100 is probably a fine bike for you, but if you ever want a 125, you can lower the seat height with a couple pretty minor and cheap modifications - cutting the subframe and cutting the seat foam.

Welcome to DRN!

Your KX is a nice bike for you right now, as long as you are OK with the power delivery. By that I mean, if it does not scare you, then everything is fine. I'd keep the KX until you want more power.

If your not comfortable with two strokes you could try a 150f and will carry you real good. + if your new to ridding you'll get less arm pump from a 4 stroke r and not be sacraficing power for the easier ride. Good luck.

The 4 stroke still has a clutch, but the abrupt power could be a challenge, so if it is an issue then a mellower 4 stroke may be the answer. An XR100 or an XR 150, RMZ/KLX125 or a TTR125 may be better the ticket. Hey its all good and we all have different preferences so :ride:
