RIDE REPORT I rode my new C6001 120/100-18 in desert conditions (rocks, gravel, sand, hard pack, sand whoops, and hill climbs) on Memorial day (that's "Mo-mole" day in NYC.). Hook up was superior in all conditions. It didn't have too much traction though; it would power slide predictably whenever I needed it to. I admit that I didn't pay too much attention to braking. If it would've done anything out of what I consider predictable I certainly would have immediately noticed. I'm real happy with my purchase. My main fear with buying this tire was TOO much traction (due to its large size designation). I'm happy to say that that wasn't an issue. The 200H had plenty of power to pull it and never came close to bogging down with too much hook up. I have yet to try it on soft or wet conditions so the jury is still out there. My year old Michelin M12 also was outstanding in these desert conditions. I have a little concern with the M12 because it is a pretty light weight front tire for banging through the rocks, but so far no flats or bent rims. I'm running 12 lbs. in front and 10.5 lbs. in back (cold). My biggest fear for a front tire is washing out in a corner. So far the M12 is the best tire I've had for staying stuck to the ground in corners (my main front tire experience has been with Bridgestone ED11, Dunlop K490, Metzler, Maxxis C6001, and several IRCs). The M12 is very predictable.
