I’ve got a 1999 YZ250 and I’m looking for a reasonable priced set of wheels to mount my ice tires on. Ideally I’d like one set of ice tires and one set of studded winter tires but the time and effort it takes to swap them back and forth using one set of rims is prohibitive to say the least.
Anyway . . . . I can get my hands on a set of cheap 93 wheels. I know the hubs etc are different and they certainly wont be a direct bolt on without modifications. What I’m hoping is that someone can confirm that they have mounted a 93 to 98 rear wheel on their 99+ YZ125/250 or if someone can provide me with a measurement between the outside of the sprocket to the outside of the disk or the distance between the hubs mounting face for each so that I can get a feel for whether it is doable.
Thanks all,
David
