I am a new member here and just wanted to introduce myself. I am just getting back into the dirt from a long time layoff.(Something like 14 yrs) I ride in the street and decided to get back into the dirt. I also got a couple of friends to get into it with me. I will try to contribute when I can. Also I will apologize for my newbie questions in advance now. Well see you guys around.

Welcome TXbigguy !!
Settle into any chair back here you want, the beer is in the fridge. Down the hall to the left are the facilities; light a match;) . The bar-b-que usually gets lit around 5.

Can we please drop the tea-party chat? All it ever does is make me hungry & thirsty, and wish there really were a lounge. It's like that dream you have, that you just won the lottery, then you wake up. These posts make me feel like that for the rest of the day :( Until Okie figures out a way to deliver beer through my floppy drive and transmogrify my squeaky desk & chair into a comfy cognac colored leather couch I don't wanna be tortured anymore.

So get hoppin, Okie! I want beer & leather, and barbeque chicken with garlic bread, beans, green salad & macaroni salad, with some chips & dip.... sausages, atrichoke-heart-cheese spread for my baguette, spinache dip, some dark cherries, baked potatoes, barbequed corn-on-the-cob, some halibut, grilled veggies, some well marinaded tri-tip, maybe some skirt steak... oooooohhhhhhh....... I'm so hungry!
;)

Right now I ride out in the trails. I think I might want to try and ride on the track but I need to get my confidence back. Pardon the ignorace but what does NTSP stand for? Right now I am riding my freinds cr125 but I am looking at a 1998 YZ250(I'm 5 9 230). I hopefully will be buying it this weekend.

Yet another Texas DRN'er! Coolage

Repeat after me, "Rich is a poopie head." There see now you'll fit in jus' fine ;)

(Would be interesting to see a breakdown of where all the DRN'ers are from on a state by state basis.)

I think NTSP = North Texas Spode Patrol

this illustrious award is coveted by all, deserved by many, and cost me $25!
my definition of a spode - somebody who is a wannabe. and we all wannabe something! Basically txbg, a spode is a person who would like to ride like McGrath/Hannah/any of those we can never be - but in real life ride like the people we are. Just having fun is the whole point of being a spode!:uh:

I was thinking about it. A couple of here have been talking about it. I havent gotten any tickets yet though. We just hit the FMX down at reunion a little while back. That really made the bug bike hard for me.

PS - it's easier if you are pushing 40 or over. People don't expect much out of you. Just ask Okie ;)
Anyway, I'm up in Celina and we definitely need to get together to do some ridin'. I prefer tracks cuz I look cool rolling over the jumps  I will occasionally do trails, I love Muenster but don't care to much for Rocky Ridge. Besides, all the TORO and TCCRA guys mess up all the good ridin. Many of them have had one too many trip over the handlebars. Some even claim they can ride anything!

and no, I don't rip the sleeves from my jerseys....
