hey, im new to 2strokes so don't kill me. a friend of a friend has an 88 cr250 for sale for $600. it runs well and everything right now, im just thinking later on, are these bikes/engines hard to get parts for? what years were the same on the 250s? thanks for any replies

You should be fine.ebay is great for cheap parts too...if you get it for 500 take it!

Go for it!

I bought a 91 CR250 a few months back and getting a wheel and brake peadal were no problem at all (eBay). The engines on these things are awesome too... just make sure you change the oil and clean the air filter and they're very dependable.
