Is it good for both of us?

My dad has decided to buy a dirtbike that he and I will ride. Me mostly. I am 5'10 130lbs. He is 6'3 200lbs. I have some riding experience but he has none. We will be doing trail riding through woods. Will a XR200 be good for us? If not what would be good?

I'm 6' and weigh 135, I have a KDX with the big bore kit and it has plenty of power for me. The XR will be a bit on the small side for a person of your father's weight level. I'm a fairly agressive trail rider and I couldn't be happier with my bike, the stock suspension might be to be beefed up slightly for your dad as it's pretty soft but you'll have a blast. The KDX can be had at a reasonable price as well. Good Luck :)

The XR 200 will be too small, especially for your dad.
Either go with a 250 or a KDX 200;)

XR250 and TTR

The XR250 is more your size, and it comes with a light.

The TTR250 is also a good bike for you, AND it featured electric start :)
