Is this too good to be true?

So I'm lookin around for a used YZ250 and I come across an 04 selling for $1600... he says bike runs decent, has new topend, never raced. Says the cylinder may need to be replated, maybe new back tire, and front brake pads. I'm going to look at it tomorrow.

$1600 for an 04 YZ250 just seems too good to be true, and something he's not telling me lol.

Thoughts?

sounds normal to me....1600 would be the MOST i would give....

It's nice to see some one else on here from Maine! I'm pretty sure you saw this ad in uncle henry's right? Trust me, you dont want to buy a bike for a little less than one thats in better shape. Once you pay to get the cylinder replated, a new piston and gaskets you will have spent enough money to buy a better bike. Just my opinion

Yes I did actually :) thanks for the input, I think I've found another one anyway. I'm really not in any rush to buy one anyway.

Yeah thought I got screaming deal on a 01 cr125 $400 with lots of gear. $1000 in parts later(rear hub, stem bearings, top and bottom end, tires, chain/spockets, plastics) wasn't such a good buy but I guess the gear was worth close to $400 :bang:
