Mika Ahola has finally broke away from the pact (or should I say potential rivals have dropped back or dropped out). Ahola (VOR 530) holds a 35+/- second lead over third place Fretign (Yamaha 250 2-s) and Tiainen (KTM 520). 3 years ago Ahola was in the same postition and got stuck in the starting gate, only to loose the overall by less than 1 second. Merriman fell way back. Day 6 is ~25 miles of riding and a final moto.

Day 5 was very interesting! Shane Watts lost about 7 minutes and dropped to 24th in the 125 class, out of contention for the class win.

Day 5's best 6 scores were turned in by 2 strokes, and 4 of the top six and both of the day's top 2 were 125cc!
