Well since Speedy & TTRGuy are going to leave California I think I will too.
Does anyone have information or links for riding in a 4 hour circle around Janesville Wisconsin?
Are ther lots of enduros?
What are the areas to stay away from?
What does your winter heating bill run?
Are there any good Chinese resturants there?
How is the traffic?
Can you get real California cheese (you know, the good stuff)?

Janesville traffic- watch out for cows, deer and those flatlanders
Cheese- around here we don't need to get that stuff they call cheese in California We have the real thing up here

Crap, I hadn't thought of that. You mean I can't get California cheese in Missouri? :ugg: That's it! I'm not budging!

I said GOOD chinese resturants.....:)

Thanks for the link oldguy!
There are more enduros, but less harescrambles. I may have to try hillclimbing, if only because the events are held in a place called Dickeyville. :scream:

gsr, wait till you see what they try to pass off as cheese....makes government cheese seem good.

SE WI, where men are men and sheep are scared. :scream:

Beautifuf area, right in Swiss country which means lots of good cheese and good beer. There are several local brewries in that area. One in New Glaris(sp) had a Fall brew called Spotted Cow. Very good beer.

Yeah Baby, spotted cow is preety good!!!
So when is this move to Janesville going to happen?
I have found that most HS and Enduros happen in Illinois, only a couple hours from Janesville. I've been going down there at least once a month. Some good local spots too!
I think if you are willing to drive a little you can almost ride year round.

Sorry but there is only one enduro in the state of Wis. The enduor is in Pearson, WI which is about 3 hours from Janesville. The closest enduro to Janesville is Byron, IL about an 1 hour, which I help put on. There are three or four hare scrambles. Most of the enduros are in MN (5 I think) and IL (we are down to 5). IL has alot of hare scrambles but most of them are in central IL which is about 4 hours from Janesville. There is a series in Morrinson, IL that is about 2 hours from Janesville, but it is not AMA. It is the same series that puts on the MOOSE Run.

There are some local spots but not all are legal.

Wolf where have you been riding at?

I have a local spot here (it's a track and a grass pit) in Elkhorn that I ride at mid week. On weekends Ottawa is one of my more frequent destinations (2 hrs), but I don't mind 4-5 hour drives so Central Illinois is really no problem.
Once or twice a season I venture over to Michigan and hit some of the D 14 Hare Scrambles.
Next season I would like to hit Minnessota for a few.
