I had what sounds like the same problem with my 95 yz250. The yamaha shop instantly said the engine was blown but they couldnt look at it for 2 to 3 weeks. The honda shop was a little more helpfull, they adjusted the floats up to where it wouldnt fall on its face any more, but if i tilted the bike even a little, gas would pour out of the overflow. it also started fouling plugs faster than I could change them. with needle settings, it would go from bad to really really bad, different jets did almost nothing. I finally bought a new keihin air striker 38mm carb from motorcyclecarbs and with a few minor adjustments my bike ran awsome. the dealer wanted $418.00 I paid $250.00 :ride:
