I've been riding for a long time now an I'm a pretty good jumper. But I want to know how you judge how far you will get at what speed? Like what gear should I hit this in? Stuff like that. If there is anyone that could help I would appreciate it.

practice and experience. you could go into the physics of it but that would be wwwaaayyy to complex. I can look at a jump ant come pretty close to guessing the speed. the other thing to do is to ask riders that are doing the jump.

When you can judge the distants by yourself with out asking anyone at the track what gear to take it then you are a "Pritty good Jumper" as you say. Becoming a good jumper means you can go around the track without thinking about what gear and how far you need to be. It will just come natural

another good thing to do is to follow a friend, or someone you trust, to lead you around the track and hit each jump you feel confident with hitting.
