hey, im going to be racing this year for the first time, ive been riding for about 7 months. i ride usually everyday for 2 hrs after skool. ive been to big pits around my area with whoops and small table tops, but not doubles. how do i know how fast i should be going to clear them? if your going to slow on a tabletop, thats diffrend because you land flat, on a double u would case it. are there any tips you guys could give me on aproach speed going off a double in order to clear it, and not case it? Thanks

Just pretend the end of the tabletop is the landing of the double and try to land on the downside everytime. Once you get enough jumps under you belt you'll just know how fast to hit them.

Practice, practice, practic. Thats the key. You just have to try jumps of different distances and experiment and just see what works and what doesnt.

Watch other people do them an that will give you an idea, and like mxobsessed said, pretend its a table.

You don't have to go for it the first time, jump so to land in the middle, between the two in a spacific gear of you choise. The key to this point is each time you jump it go a little farther and by doing this you should get an idea of how much it's going to take to clear it. A higher gear is good to, more launch control.
