I JUST SAND BLASTED/PRIMED/ PAINTED MY FRAME. I COULDN'T FIND ANYONE TO POWDER COAT IT SO I USED THE PJ SPRAY PAINT. I PUT ON FOUR COATS. AND PLAN ON PUTTING FOUR COATS OF CLEAR. DO I NEED TO GRIND OFF ANY OF THE MOUNTING TABS FOR A GOOD GROUND? ALL OF THEM OR SOME OF THEM? I READ SOME THREADS ABOUT USING 3 M CLEAR PLASTIC SHEETING FOR THE AREAS WHERE MY BOOTS RUB. ANYONE TRY THAT? ALSO, ANYONE HAVE ANY LUCK GETTING SCRATCHES OUT OF THE FENDERS? IF SO, HOW?

Too bad, you live an hour & half from one of the best powder coaters in the country: Master Lite he does frames and subframes for about $125. As far as sanding grounding points...YES

By the way, us guys from Raleigh...we don't yell! ;)

96whyzee125, THANKS FOR THE REPLY. CAN'T TYPE WELL, THAT'S WHY I'M YELLING. HAVE YOU FOUND ANY NEW PLACES TO RIDE? I BROKE MY LEG ON A TREE IN SEPTEMBER OVER IN KNIGHTDALE AFTER THEY SHUT DOWN POOLE ROAD. I WENT DOWN TO THE POWER PLANT SOUTH OF RALEIGH LAST WEEKEND. THERE ARE A COUPLE OF POWERLINES BUT I'M NOT SURE WHO OWNS THE LAND. I'M STILL LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO TAKE THE KIDS TO RIDE. THOUGHT I'D TEAR DOWN, PAINT, AND DO A TOP END WHILE I WAS HEALING. IS THERE ANY PLACE CLOSER TO RIDE? I'VE ONLY BEEN IN RALEIGH A COUPLE YEARS.
